My friend mixes equal parts Bailey's and Peppermint Schnaps. Says it tastes like a York Peppermint Patty.
It's my Drink of choice for when I'm smoking my pipe socially(In the summer, at least, Winter is a hot toddy or strong irish coffee), or I don't want to get more than a little drunk. It's softer flavored and pleasant to drink when you smoke on a hot summer night, and also weak enough that I can stand about as one does at an English country ball (that is to say, in a fuckin' stupid manner), and drink a pint-glass of the stuff without anyone hassling me or trying to give me other drinks, and therefore, I can carefully regulate my alcohol intake.
Tell you friend to try the Mint Baileys and Kaluha, that's also Really, really nice, and by the sound, might be up her alley.
Edit - I should note that I'm a big guy, who drinks regularly, and takes pains to eat a large meal before I start a drinking session. For Fuck's sake, if you're not used to it and don't take precautions, Don't drink a fucking pint glass of liqueur. Or at least, if you do, Don't blame me, it was your stupid idea.
