Every single WTF-that-can't-work moment in that movie, of which there are several, is totally irrelevant when you watch it from that perspective.
The trailer really doesn't demonstrate this at all (beyond a few fundamentals) and I was taken by surprise watching it for the first time last night.
Incidentally, "Microsoft Video" as it is now called on my XBOX made it such a pain in the ass to rent (by refusing to access my stored XBOX Live payment details and asking me to re-enter everything) that I ended up just downloading it from YARRRRRR.com in like 10 minutes at 1080p.
I vaguely remember the thread, but the movie hadn't entered my radar really at that point yet and I glossed it over. I remember they pimped the movie a LOT at Connecticon events because the theater (I forget the name) across the street was showing it on loop, but since we were going home every night we never got around to it.
They should make a jrpg style game combined with something like fitocracy where its otherwise a normal rpg but instead of grinding you have to actually exercise to level up.

One friend was baffled as to why one of the robots didn't use the awesome sword from the start since it was so awesome. Voltron, that is why.
Definitely worth watching.
