  • I saw a video of it walking on Youtube a while ago. However, while we rag on it, I think a toddler will enjoy it and it will make your little relation happy.

In my experience, kids like simpler toys more. I remember when my brother was very small I got him a kiddy space ship thingy. He didn't really play with it, but a jack in the box, holy fuck!

It's true! Some of my favorite toys were as follows:
    1. A bunch of blocks made from tree branches that my dad cut up for me
    2. A box full of wires, batteries, switches, and lightbulbs that I could make circuits out of.
    3. A box full of big pieces of shimmery cloth that I could use to make costumes
    4. A clear Plastic Container with holes you could put pondwater and bugs in and watch them for a while before you let them go.
    5. Crayons and Newsprint

    Also:
    6. Tape. All kinds. For taping things
    7. A big rope

  • Every bronie's wet dream.
Not every brony's wet dream. Some also dream of pegasuses.

And because I still don't have an answer: What are you doing here?
  • Why can't he post on here? It's fairly relevant to the thread title. Just because he doesn't like MLP:FiM doesn't mean he can't post here.

It's like me posting in the Skyrim thread. I have never played the game nor do I intend to, but I do share related images, links, and comments to the thread topic/discussion at hand to share with people who have similar or common interests.

Also, I would say he posts here because he can.
  • I don't think anyone ever said he can't, it's more a question of why he would want to. I thought Andrew wanted to avoid ponies, and he seems to be going about this the wrong way.

Those who avoid ponies do so for fear of discovering something about themselves. ^_~
  • Basically Andrew hasn't discovered his true talent yet for getting his cutie mark. :P

    What do you see?

"Hoes should be broes" -- Rym DeCoster. I think what he sees is fairly evident.
  • Measure is unceasing. Even of pony fandoms.
  • Every bronie's wet dream.
No Andrew. That's you in the picture. It's your secret desire to be a brony, the thing which you dare not speak aloud.

It's OK. One day, you'll come to terms with what you really are. And when you do, we'll be here for you.

  • And when you do, we'll be here for you.
After we've had our fill of pointing and laughing and saying "I told you so."

  • I avoid ponies because I found something out about myself - Yeah, upon watching, not really my thing.

I avoid the vast majority of the fandom because as a group they're worse than fucking twilight fans. Even here, it's barely tolerable.
  • Then I ask you the Andrew question: What are you doing here? Luke has gone on the record as liking fandom, but not watching the show. You two don't even like it that much. Why don't you just leave it alone and watch the unread count go up and up, like Yuyuke?

But what fun would there be if we didn't have our own hater here? I totally capable laughing to jokes that poke fun at something I am, that includes a pony fan.

So can I, but I don't understand why they hang around here. I don't like Gurren Lagaan, so I'm not going to read Gurren Lagaan discussions or look at Gurren Lagaan art (when it doesn't infect my usual streams). Why does this not work for MLP and these two?

Every pony thread needs the hater and the impassioned defender, and we have both of them here, so really, i could not be more content.

I do have contention that churba deems the majority of pony fans=twilight fans, or worse! I cannot comment on the overall rabidness of the fandom, but from what ive experienced it really is one of the most open and creative ones i myself have had personally. ive been in this fandom since last December, and ive really seen all stripes of people in the fandom; it is of a great variety and i daresay, culture.

Or i may have been shut in the ivory tower too long..who knows..

I'm saying overall, from the perspective of someone from the outside looking in. There are some really together, chilled out and not-stereotypical Twilight fans out there too, just like ponies. On the most general level, the fandoms are very similar - Just because this place is a bastion of the better class of Pony fans, doesn't mean that much of the rest isn't abominable. Both fandoms are - again, on a general level - equally rabid.

Of course pony fandom doesn't seem bad when you are inside, but I can understand how some fans "Ponies are the greatest thing in the world, there should be ponies everywhere, praise ponies." -attitude could seem annoying. Heck I really like the show and even I think that some fans have their dicks far too deep in pony arse.
  • Pony fandom is like bacon fandom.

OMG. I lost my shit at this from a local news station about a local place in Seattle.

I also recognized one of the dudes being a PAX Enforcer. I'm pretty sure he is. He goes by the handle SuperKawaiiNeko.

  • I'm amazed that no one here seems to have noticed that this latest episode looks a whole lot like the Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater show that Tara Strong(the voice actress of Twilight Sparkle) began her career with. It's on Netflix, and from watching the show, it's almost the exact same format.
  • We haven't had anyone post PMVs for a while, and a few showed up recently that I like.

Well, now I'm glad I've avoided that meetup.
  • He goes by the handle SuperKawaiiNeko.
Does having read his handle in David Riley's fake Japanese/Otaku accent make me a bad person?
If it does, I don't want to be good.

No, that's precisely how he'd want it read.
