  • Can't Stop is out there for a buck. The grand-daddy of all push your luck dice games. It looks really well done and I had a fun match against AI. A guy on twitter told me there are a lot of bugs though? Haven't seen any myself but I only played one match.
  • Have you tried SpellTower? Totally addictive.
I got bored with SpellTower after two days. Far too dependent on the initial, random setup with no way to usefully manipulate the board.

Umm yeah, that may just be your vocabulary letting you down. Also, no way to manipulate the board? That's the entire point of the game, to first make smaller words to rearrange the letters to get a huge word. Also know when to strategically add more rows. I can reliably get to 4000-5000 points, my high score is somewere above 14k (iirc).

I'll give you that if you do not enjoy playing Scrabble then you will probably not enjoy SpellTower.

  • Has everyone played Puzzlejuice and 10000000? Two insanely sick games if you have not tried them yet!!
  • So Scott got me into my first -Ville type tap game, Simpsons Tapped out. You should friend me: RosakaM. Visit my town. I would love neighbors.

I think the only reason I like this game, even though it's pretty much like any of those Zynga-ville games is because it's Simpson themed. I'm sure I'll grow tired of it eventually, after I build my empire.

As long as you follow these rules it's ok.

    1) Never under any circumstances pay any real money for anything.
    2) Stop playing after all free content has been exhausted.
    3) Check it like twice a day. Do not sit there waiting and waiting while your life wastes away.
    4) Do not forget rule #1 EVER.
    5) If anyone forgets rule #1 (LOOKING AT YOU BIOLOGICAL BROTHER), berate them with all your might.
  • I average checking my town 4 times a day. If this game in anyway can insert the Lisa Needs Braces thing, I will be so happy.
  • I played Pocket Planes for a little bit, but god damn I wound up checking that shit way too much. Had a flight landing like every 5 minutes

Simpsons actually has some flexibility. For example, homer is standing there doing nothing. I could tell him to do something that takes 5 minutes. If I check every 5 minutes and keep doing that, the payout will be maximized. But since I'm not going to sacrifice my entire life for this nonsense, I choose to make him do something that takes 8 or 12 hours. If you check it a few times a day, everything eventually gets in sync.
  • I'm tempted to just plant that corn on farm for 90 days, so I don't have to worry about it.
  • I've been playing Fix-it a free game by Disney for the upcoming film Wreck it Ralph. Game is an old school knock off of Donkey Kong. Its not bad. I can only get to the fourth floor so far before I run out of time.

I'm also playing Puzzle Craft its basically a FarmVille clone with puzzle matching game thrown in.

And then you get a quest to plant tomacco.

    That would SUCK.

Edit: I do like how you can have the alter egos of characters like Devil Ned Flanders. Earn that candy!

  • New army for Neuroshima Hex is out. Also, the app update says improved AI? I may have to go test it out.

Also, Dominant Species got released for iPad. This is a very deep strategy game that I haven't been able to get to the table, but I really would like to have tried it. I'll definitely get around to this one eventually.
  • Ro spent real world dollars on doughnuts! SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAME SHAAAAAAAAAAAME

Yeah, if you go to the Origin tab and click news, it tells you if your friends are "doughnut happy." Your shame is public!

Meh. So what? I don't feel shame. It was a few dollars. I'm not going to feel guilty about it.

It will take more than that to shame me.

  • Goddamn Neojungle is tough to use effectively.

LOL. I also am playing with that. New York is more my style.

Yeah, I was the same way for the first few days I played it... then I realized how stupid grindy it was and how lacking in strategy it really was (I went in thinking it would be kinda like Aerobiz). I stopped at that point.

I also have a large balance on my iTunes account, so I figured might as well. I really don't buy much on the iTunes store.

However, I did just purchase a few Deadmau5 stuff. And I can't gift items using my iTunes credit. I would have bought people copies of Alien Frontiers or something.
  • Active deflection!

I have not paid any moneys. I can prove this by showing credit card statements that have no payments to EA on them. Also you know I am a person that does not lie. I think it is lying to make you think your friends think you paid money to encourage you to do the same thing. It is also possible that it shows that any time you get donuts, whether you paid for them or not. I think I just got two donuts for getting a level.

To be fair, you could be lying about that.

    That's a damned good question.

I was just taking the piss, though, I don't actually think you're a liar, and when you do, it's forgivable - mostly for comedic purposes, really, unless you're telling some other lies I don't know about.

  • So then technically you were incorrect about "Donut Happy" status. It was something I noticed. I couldn't believe it, so I took a screen shot of it. It's still beyond amusing.
