  • Yeah, I used my MasterBall on him too.

I also used the "run back and forth between two zones" trick until he finally showed up where I was.

Latios/Latias was the same way in Ruby/Sapphire but there was no way to even know if he/she was in the area!
  • Oh man, I made my Roselia forget the toxic spikes so she can learn cut :(, but I have stun spore :P
Why don't you evolve it into a Roserade?
Because I already did it :(

Come on people, why are you guys bashing Scott, I am impressed that he was able to catch Dialga because it took me 7 ultra balls and him being almost dead to be able to catch him.

  • Come on people, why are you guys bashing Scott
Because we never see him in the wi-fi zone we have to bash him here.

We are bashing him because he has a big head. Egos need to be put in check sometimes...

Also, try to use Dusk Balls on legendaries, they have a 4x increased catch rate during night time or in caves compared to the Ultra Ball's 2x constant increase.
  • Dusk Balls are actually quite good. Were they in Ruby/Sapphire?
  • Nope, Dusk Balls are new. So are Heal and Quick Balls.

There was also only one Luxory Ball in R/S/E
  • I understand, Scot does have a big head and egos should be checked everyones in a while but even thou it is a pretty AWESOME game it is just a game :P

Anyhow, I am on my way to victory road leveling up my pokemans, but it looks like a long way to go:P
  • I have to say I greatly enjoy how it is much easier to catch Pokemon in D/P. One of the most frustrating parts of the old Pokemon games was how long it took to catch Pokemon. Now if you can find a Pokemon, you are almost guaranteed to catch it.
  • The only problem I have with catching legendaries is when my Timer Balls fail and the guy starts using Struggle and knocks himself out!

I try to keep a bare minimum of 10 of each type of PokeBall in my bag (except for Master Balls which I can never have enough of!)

They should really let you buy master balls at some point. I mean seriously. It's not like having them gives you some competitive advantage. Make them cost 5000 each, I don't care. Of course, in D/P it matters less because other balls, like the Dusk Ball, are so good they might as well be Master Balls.

I dunno, I kinda enjoy the thrill of the catch.

    Then just don't buy them.
  • I've been playing since way back with Red. I am fairly certain I played Yellow as well. I played Gold but skipped Ruby and Sapphire. After getting back into the game with FireRed, I am still hooked.

Since most of my friends have gotten Diamond, I picked up Pearl today. Chose Piplup at the start, and off I went. I was overjoyed when I easily caught an Abra with a plain old Pokeball, and I just got my Coal Badge.
Count now stands at 15 seen and 11 obtained. Onward!
  • Stupid people make me buy pokemon game. Diamond will be arriving from ebay shortly, I hoped to go through my life without owning something pokemen.
  • Embrace the madness!

Three out of the six members of my pogeyman battling team are good to go.
  • What pokemons are those?

I am terrified of your skills after the last pokemon match :P
  • I am getting pearl in 2 weeks, once I get done with my 3 week course (quick summer 3 credit college courses suck, especially when you have to work and pay bills)
  • Anyone up for a battle?
  • Oh man, Railith...I can't wait to face off against you. I already have 4 Pokemon perfect for my team, and can't wait to take you on.
  • To battle against all of you guys I have to train my pogeymans on the mountains.
  • I got my new DS Lite today with Pokemon Diamond! ^_____^ *bounces with excitement*
  • Nintendo World is offering a Pokemon Diamond/Pearl themed black DS. The only bad part is that it is part of a $350+ bundle!!!
  • All of my pogeymans have been bred to get their egg moves and stuff. I just have to train them which should take a day or two.
  • I attempted the elite four for the first time this morning on the train. I made it all the way to the champion, and I only needed to defeat two more Pokemon to win. But then, I ran out of items and was defeated. This sucks because now I think I just have to level up my team and maybe train one more Pokemon in order to beat this. Leveling sucks. I just want to beat it so I can get the pal park and start getting busy.

    How do you do that?
  • Well you have to get a move on a male pokemon and see if it'll pass it on to it's baby. For example, I wanted my Heracross to have the move pursuit which it wouldn't normally learn. I had to get a male Scyther that knew the move and breed it with my female Heracross so their babies would have the move.
  • I did not know there was such a thing as pokemon genetics, this game is getting a lot more interesting :D . Thanks, Railith
  • Ah egg moves. I spent a lot of time in Emerald finding out which Pokemon could get Earthquake as an egg move :)
  • Anybody up for a battle?
  • I just used the GTS to trade a Shieldos for a Cranidos,  equal levels and everything.  I think that s the trading it was designed for.
Doing some searching on it, I was surprised to see so many people offering up low level Magicarp and hoping for lvl 100 Legendaries.  Do they think people are dumb, or just cheaters?  At least one of the lvl 3 Magicarp was holding a Masterball.
