Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed finishing Ruby, but you guys are bordering on fanaticism. It's like you're planning Pokemon Ji'had or something. I am tired of the Pogeys -- it became mindless grinding after a while, and without the social dynamics of true MMORPGs.

That's really only true if you don't have people to battle against or trade with.
So while I was training on victory road (followed the way of the monk so I did not use any hyper potion, or healing) I was leveling up pretty good but then my pogeymans died on me and I woke up on the poke center, and found out that I lost my money (all of it) so what can I do to get moneys can I fight people that I fought before. I still have my potions but this lack of money will have to make me level up my pokemons to levels that I had never imagine in order to not use the items as much as I did before, granted that I have not battle the elite 4 yet.
So, while I was training my Pachirisu I discovered that he was holding a rare candy, it is interesting since I did not give him any item to beging with. I took it away from him and then a couple of minutes later he was holding a revive. How is that possible? it that random or he just finds them, or get those from the pokemons I fight with. I will appreciate if someone can explain me this.
Thanks steve, my Pachirisu is level 44 at the moment, I have, discharge, spark, super fang and last resort (I do not remember that attack well enough) but it is only allowed to used it 5 times, and it only works if all the other moves have being used in a battle. I like that pokemon cuz it looks like a squarrel. I haven't fight the elite 4 yet since I want all my pokemons to be at least level 50 when I confront them.
You know the guy in the cave who says "Let's race. You catch the Unown and I dig the cave." What's his deal? I got some unown and went to him, but nothing changed.
Well, once you caught an Unown, that cave becomes infested with Hippopotas. Of course, the more Unowns you have, the higher the chance that you will encounter one.

I know, I got lots of Hippopotas there. You are telling me the guy never actually digs anything open?
So, I was prepared for the Elite Four, my main Empoleon was level 61, and the rest were 48 and up. I had and awesome plan of using my Kricketune's Perish Song in every last standing pokemon of the Elite, since I had 5 I though "awesome I will have one extra". I defeated the bug guy without using any revive and Hyper potion, I defeated the ground lady very easy, the fire dude was kind of though he kept using thunder, fire, ice punch all the time, but I got to him, then with all my pokemons at half life I was able to destroy the psichic dude. And then I forgot about the last Boss, first time I see her. I enter the Elite four with only 7 Hyper potions and 10 revives. I think if I collect enough money I will be able to defeat her in a relative easy way. However, it is hard to find people to fight with.
The person selling me my Pokemons is no longer a member of eBay! They refunded my money but, it means I have to find another person to sell me cheap Pokemon! CURSES!
I think she means the physical game Pokemon, rather than the little bits of data Pokemon. :P
Does anyone know the significance of the rock east of Victory Road?
That's for getting Shaymin. Kind of. You have to go to the relevant Nintendo event and obtain Oak's Letter, and then the end of the route the rock is in will open up so that you can access Shaymin. I really hope that event happens in Australia... D'aawww, Shaymin.
It is its just $60 and I'd prefer to buy it for $40.
I did the same thing, except a month ago through Play-asia, using one of those little coupon thingies to get the price down a little more from their standard price.
I caught Uxie and Azelf with dusk balls and patience. Whittle them down to get their HP close to 0. Then put them to sleep or paralyze them. Then just throw dusk balls until they are caught. I haven't caught the acutal Mespirit in my game yet. I did, however, trade a crap Pokemon on the WTC to get a Japanese Mespirit.

Sometimes it pays off on a diagonal, sometimes it does not.

The middle game can drag when it involves a lot of "run here, then run there, then run back again" stuff.
