My thing of the day is from a TV station so is streaming now and will be finished in a few hours. It is an underground variete show I took part in on Sunday. I'm the final act so you could catch me at maybe 11.30 am CET Sofa Variete on OKB TV
Ah, when people don't get a joke it is funny. When people STILL don't get a joke, hilarious. When people are TOLD that it is a joke and they STILL don't get it, priceless.
"Screw ten. Ten's not even a number! It's a combination of numbers, one, and zero, thinking they are greater than I! Well, neither is, I AM THE GREATEST NUMBER!"
EDIT: That video you posted prompted me to go out and rediscover my own TotD - the episode of Bill Nye the Science Guy about pseudoscience. This episode single-handedly got me interested in exploring pseudoscientific topics when I was a kid - mainly to see why they sounded cool, but weren't true. It was also my first time ever seeing James Randi. Thanks, Nye!
Now to watch the pseudoscience episode of the Eyes of Nye, which I have never seen. I hear it covers the topic in more depth.
I finally finished the buggery thing today. I think it looks horrible, to be completely honest. However, a lot of work was put into it and most of the crappiness was from the fact that I had to finish it -today-, meaning there wasn't enough time.
It's a sad day when my brother, a tenth-grader, cannot grasp such a simple concept.
I wouldn't necessarily call imaginary numbers a simple concept. Most people never hear about them in their lifetime. However, I agree that tenth-graders should be able to grasp it. I learned them in 9th or 10th grade, but in a technological oriented school I entered in 9th grade.
