I'd really like to hear an episode about Emily's time in Japan- what she did there (aside from education), how it was, what it was like... I'm really curious.
I have asked to do that show for years now. They don't take me up on it.
...I want to be on the show more, but it intrudes into the format, so I very rarely appear. I think they should interview Alex about game programming as well.

Adding one more news or Things of the Day would be intruding into the format? Having you on the show more would just make the show slightly longer (theoretically).

If you're curious, the only thing preventing us from having a lot of people on the show on a more regular basis is that it takes me an extra half-hour or so to edit it together. This is due almost entirely to the fact that I haven't written scripts to handle multi-track. Any deviation from the basic format currently requires me to manually edit.
But, be that as it may, you'll hear an Emily on the next Wednesday show. We're trying something.

Glad to hear! Plus why not try the Alex idea too.
Is it really hard to write scripts for that. It sounds hard.

Talk about The Beatles, that topic alone warrants it's own show as it's impossible to not like The Beatles. Such anecdotes could include when you first discovered them.
I know several people that would take contest to that.
My question for you is do they recognize the mark they've made on the world of music, but not necessarily like the material they've made?
I definitely understand how big they were and how they changed the industry, I just don't like them. At all.
Nobody likes creepy crawly things, and they are named after such creatures. How good could they really be?
As a matter of fact, they are actually named after a combination of the word "beat" and the insect itself. I thought most people got that pun? Oh well.
A possible tech show would be to cover setting up a home network w/ DNS and some kind of file sharing. Speaking from personal experience, I have a pretty shoddy home network. One of my machines has a static IP, but the rest are dynamically assigned. I never got into DNS so I have to refer to all of my PCs by their IP, which means I often have to check the IP in case two of my machines that do not have a static IP need to talk to each other. I am using samba to share files from the static IP machine (running linux), and it works for my windows machines, but occasionally the other linux machines have trouble talking to the samba server. I'm thinking maybe I should use nfs, but I don't really know anything about it.
Anyways, the point is, I think a lot of people would benefit greatly from some simple but concrete advice on how to set up a good home network with a centralized server for storage & DNS. I know that you have done shows on things like NAS and DNS in the past, so it might be overkill, but there's my $0.02.
To this day I'm still waiting for the female masturbation episode and I just showed the original to my friend and she wants to hear the "girlie" version too.

Agreed, lol. Only if it was as hilarious as the original masturbation episode.

Personal anecdotes for the win.
