Fell down the fucking basement pit on the construction site of my sister's house. Now got some scratches across my entire upper calf. Also burns like a motherfucker after being disinfected.
Re: The advert. After thinking about it, I gotta admire that kid's initiative. Not only have they got a webcomic online at that age, they're also actively promoting it. I expect great things from this one.
Honestly, start with Sam Adams. Maybe not Boston Lager - it's a bit hoppy for many people - but Oktoberfest, Noble Pils, and any of their wheat beers are quite good.
Sam Adams Summer Ale might be my favorite domestic.
Annoying semi-friend of mine has been bothering my brother and I to give her a ride to her hotel for Otakon. She really can't afford it and shouldn't go, and we would probably be harmed in the long run if we gave her a ride to Baltimore, and the costs greatly outweigh the benefits. He told her no, and she cried and it was depressing. Oh well. I don't really like her that much anyway...
It's not even that she'll get into trouble. She really can't afford it, and would only have a hotel with people who she possibly knows, possibly met online. She did this last year, and we had to give her a ride home last year unexpectedly and at great cost to our Sunday at Otakon. This year we would have even more to lose bringing her down there, and while she says she could get a ride back up, if she couldn't, it would be our responsibility. It's just so much stupid drama, and the fact that I'm in the middle of it when it's my brother's decision in the first place is annoying.
Just came back from being with my family for longer than planned, because they were in an awful state of affairs. Keeping it vague, I'm more worried about my mom's mental well-being than ever now. ): At least what happened probably gave my sister a wakeup call and she'll stop being such a snot to our mom. Still it's a little stressful needing to come back to my own place and my own life and wondering what will go right and wrong over there while I'm not around.

That's how we met Nuri, our awesome friend.
Yes, but my mom came along to meet you guys to at least check whether you were OBVIOUSLY murdering rapists before she let me stay with a room full of strangers. Little did she know.
ETA: And I had a back-up plan; I could have stayed with my Aunt in Misty Meadows. It's about an hour away, and my mom drove in to the con every day anyway.
And your mom was cool. You also had the air of someone who could manage on their own and deal with situations that might arise. I'm not getting that vibe from the subject of this debate as much.

Yeah, she can't. The reason she needed our ride last year was because the only member of their group old enough to get a rental car turned out to be an alcoholic, and he got severely drunk, mouthed off to the cops, and got arrested, causing her entire group to lose their car ride home and have to bum off of other people. She barely knew this guy, and she barely knows the people she would've been with this year too. *Sigh.* Too much trouble for what it's worth, which happens to be nothing.

This goes back to one of the lessons all of us were taught as younglings: Don't get into a car with people you don't know.

I don't even know what this one is trying to sell me. Is it advertising ultra-sub-par anime drawings which remind me of Utena for some reason because of the pink hair and sword? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!

I always thought they were trying to sell terrible graphic design along with their crushingly generic anime style.

I was expecting some kind of anti-vac advert.
The one on the end is a "glass half full" sort of guy.
Also: This site is oh so classy.
I call them class-holes.
Double Fail: Back to using old Blackberry and I-pod Shuffle.

(You were also desperately cute).
Oh hey, that reminds me. My mom is coming to visit in Oct with my awesome brother. Will discuss plans in other thread.

Anyone need to have an affair?
