My car speakers were blown because the previous owner installed a 45watt RMS stereo in a car whose speakers had a 40 watt max. Somehow, I managed to replace all of them, including drilling holes to mount super-awesome speakers in the rear. (Stupid Honda with your triangle screw configuration.) And it all works brilliantly now! No more buzzing when bass or treble is present!
So far, 17 crashes, 5 distressed soft toy animals (varying degrees of fluffiness) and one perplexed babby (not to speak of the very happy pappy). Here is some swash plate porn, the width of the linkage is just 1cm across
Anyway, today would be a sucky day to be me since I'm feeling all crappy from my flu shot. Getting the heli helped though, as did the chocolate, and the Thai takeout.
You'll have a hard time catching it the way I'm flying it ^_^.
Mini review: Starting with no skills (apart from the $10 2-channel picooz's and 15 minutes on a simulator a while back) it took me less than an hour to be able to reliably and steadily hover it in a confined space. If you have a large space then the gyro and flybar make it so that you can just let go of all but the throttle and it'll stabilize into a hover by itself. That being said, actually flying an RC heli is hard, so unless you are looking for a challenge, get something else.
Judging from my crashes, this thing is pretty much indestructible (knock on wood), but flight times are short, 5 min tops. I bought additional main rotor blades and a couple of batteries to be able to fly pretty much continuously.
It's Raining. This may not seems so spectacular to most of you, but here, it's awesome. Gonna try to take my car to a parking lot and do some skidpad driving.

Tonight is the first time in over 2 months that the drama club and the techies are meeting up to do a production. The production this time is a musical, The Music Man. I'm so glad to actually go back to theater again because I was missing it a lot.
This evening I played a game of NS that lasted 48 minutes. It was pretty epic. The marines lost int he end, but I managed to kill two onos single-handedly with a shotgun and jetpack, which is a first for me.
