Probably my favorite Wario Land. It's got as many secrets as Super Mario World.
WL 4 is a bit better than 3. The new Wii one is disappointingly easy, though. The best part about Warioland games was always the super challenging scramble to get to back to the start of the level.
Not sure why exactly, but Wario Land II was the last GB game I ever got. It was definitely a good one to go out on though. It is still the best handheld platformer I've ever played.
Finished with two games tonight: Mirrors Edge has some pretty tedious combat sections but is otherwise fun, I would like to see them fit more sequences like the one at the very end into the main game though. That, and smooth out the controls.
Got up to the last boss on Bioshock and, as the game had already worn pretty thin at that point and I hear the last boss is pretty pants, I ended there. I feel this is a game who's RPG (Accounting.) elements really let it down, especially when it comes to the later levels, as, to make the enemies harder, they are given more health so, instead of the game feeling more challenging, your guns feel nerfed and you, having already figured your enemies out, feel like you're wasting your time.
The spells were interesting but I felt as though the game wanted me to focus on one or two when I wanted to try out all of them; I ended up using Shock and Infuriate mostly and sticking to weapons and hacking for most of my damage.
I hope they make the next one focus more on the interplay between the various types of enemy and less the Serious Sam style everything rushes you and you shoot it mixed with RPG number gain.

Some of the treasures were a bitch to get, though.

Keeping your guns from getting nerfed is as easy as finding the Power to the People upgrades and using the special ammo. Researching enemies makes the Anti-Personal rounds useful, and the shotgun was always useful for me.
But check out your tonics; if you equip the right ones, the Wrench gets some great upgrades.
Ninety Nine Nights - it has been out a while, but it is new to me. It really is a bit midless (I will admit), but sometimes I just want to enjoy a screen saver of spinny-death!
Z:LA was the second Gameboy game I had. I didn't think it was that hard. I was stuck for months in the first town as my Nintendo logic hadn't developed to the point where I'd thought to sprinkle magic powder on the giant racoon. It did mean, however, being a kid at the time, I'd worked out how to get 1199 rupees for the shovel and bow.
Hey, that was my second gameboy game too, right after pokemon pinball (don't judge). I played the hell out of that game. That's one of the few games I have actually beaten multiple times, right behind Metroid Fusion.
Right now the main game that's taking up my time is Plants vs. Zombies. And when I find the time I'm playing Tales of Vesperia.

I had full research really quickly (Tip: Always get photos of houdini splicers, the chameleon ability is a must have.) but things like the shotgun with explosive buck or machine gun with AP rounds still felt nerfed. The amount of guns and ammo to choose from meant I usually ran out of the bread and butter stuff like shotgun shells but had a bunch of proximity mines and trap wire bolts but, as you hold so few, I'd fill up, empty out and have to search through my weapons to find ones with ammo. Some way to trade in the stuff you don't use or just replacing more of the ammo with money would have helped. Also, not carrying so many ammo types at once and letting you specialise in the same way you could with plasmids and tonics would be a plus.
This pretty much sums up what I'd want to do VS what I usually end up resorting to.
Pretty much this. I'm already half done with my second play-through.
Jesus don't you people have lives? or significant others!
I'll second that exclamation!
I really like the game, but I find it less addictive then Dragon Age. I think it has more to do with DA being released first and less of the quality of the game. My only beef is that scanning for resources takes too long.
@S.R.: This is not a reason to dismiss the entire game as crap.

When I started the new game, I had 200k credits and 50k of each mineral, including Element Zero. Made it awesome and easy to cruise through the beginning of the game.
Edit: To clarify, once you have the achievement for beating the game on your profile, any new game will start with this stuff.

Yea, I am torn between my need to rob every planet I encounter of resources and the fact that I only have 30 probes at a time and a limited amount of fuel.. (waiting to get a probe upgrade hopefully right?)
I've been playing more of Neotokyo and it seems that the amateur nature of the design is beginning to show through. Case in point; "Left lean" which is a glitch where, when leaning to the left, on your screen, you appear to be leaning around something but, your model and hitbox are slightly over to the right, giving you the ability to shoot without being shot at or, sometimes, even seen.
Playing Mass Effect on my brother's laptop. I have to keep the graphics at the minimum and it's still laggy, but it seems fun. I need to get farther into it, though...
Just gave up on dead space, the controls are just awful.
I didn't have any problems with Dead Space's controls. What exactly did you find to be wrong with them?
The mouse, the fact that the mouse accelerates when you move, it just feels stiff, the actions are kind of counter intuitive as well. A friend told me to use my 360 controller, but I'm not playing a shooter game with a stick, that is just ridiculous.

It's a fairly slow-paced game, so playing it with a controller is actually doable. I would try it before I diss it in this case.
I REALLY wish I had time to play Mass Effect and its sequel. In fact I've had the original sitting here for about a year now, and have only gotten about an hour into it. In the mean time, I'm playing some portable Final Fantasy III (VI actually) and Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo on the Wii. While not a terrible game, I imagine that I will zip through it, and send it back to Gamefly quickly so I can play some more notable recent releases, such as Bayonetta or Bioshock 2.
I'm also playing a bit of the Street Fighter IV as well on PS3 (pretty much all thanks to the recent Geek Nights episode on it.)
I'm on the final mission of Mass Effect 2, I am enjoying the combat and story but damn the planet scanning is annoying (that and I realized after I have more minerals then I would ever need that I in fact had more minerals then I would ever need in the game but I don't have enough credits!!!)
Still playing Bowser's Inside Story. Yes, I'm very slow at this game. I'm currently at the part where Mario & Luigi are free to roam around Plack Beach.
I recently picked up Wario Land: Shake It! for $20 and Puzzle Kingdom for the $10 on the Wii. Puzzle Kingdom is from the makers or Puzzle Quest. I will probably enjoy this more than Galactrix.
I got Chime for the 360. It's really good for relaxing, but has more action than Osmos. The thing is, how to play the game is not incredibly intuitive. That's good, though, because it means there is a lot more replay value.
Come tomorrow, I am going to be playing nothing but BioShock 2. Today, I am working on playing through Kingdom Hearts II because I forgot what happened in the game.
Got to the second-to-last mission of Brutal Legend and got frustrated with trying to beat it. It is incredibly cheap. Will try again later.
Since I was upset with that game, started Modern Warfare 2 instead. Feels a lot like the first MW, which is good for me. But then I hit the Rio de Janeiro level and got incredibly frustrated again with more crappy game design. I kind of knew it was coming since that level was the biggest complaint when it came out.
Bowser's Inside Story on the other hand, fills me with great joy whenever I play it. Almost got through the Underground section after the first visit to Bowser's Castle, but I had to stop short since my DS ran out of power.
