  • The gear-o-mon is one of my new favs.
The pink one should play right into your strategy of Dream Eating everything in sight, Scott. It's the "Dream Eater" Pokemon, according to the translation of the scan.

Why can't the Pokemon that look the best also be the most useful ones?

Because Farfetch'd would be even more ridiculously overpowered then.

    EDIT:

  • The Pidgey of this game is a fucking pigeon. I hate pigeons. I like the gear Pokemon, though, it's pretty kewul. Also note that the professor is female this time around and that the Pokedex or what ever device they're having this time to replace the Pokegear looks like an iPod Nano. Maybe it will have a video camera?
I guess it's because of where I live, but I don't mind pigeons at all. The bird I loath the most is seagulls and I hate wingull.
  • I like alligators/crocodiles, but not that one.
  • Ohmigod! I love the lightening Unicorn!
  • That Heavy Metal Zebra is brutal.

I'm always looking for more Pokemons to dream eater with.
  • Dream eater is a terrible move that should never be on any Pokemon.

The new Pokemon look pretty good.

    Yes to all of these

That one's okay, but Feraligatr could still eat its face whole. I also like crocs/gators. I like how pokemon based on animals known for being viscous and attacking humans (croc, hippo, shark) are being designed to live under the sand instead of the water. You are not safe anywhere.

I still like Zoroark and Pokabu best out of the new ones I've seen. The little chinchilla's cute, and I don't mind the pigeon. I live surrounded by them after all, and it sorta goes with the whole urban emphasis they're putting on (at least one part of) the new region.

Speaking of, has anyone heard the crackpot theory that the Isshu region is based off of NYC?

It's probably bullshit but it'd be fun if it were true. The whole desert where midtown would be is a little contrary though (and the "nuked ground zero" comment is retarded.)

I am also digging that the new professor is a hot chick and not a dumpy old man. :)
  • There is no doubt that is NYC.
  • There is no doubt that is NYC.
  • Well, know I have doubt. Where are the bridges located in Shanghai? Maybe it's a NY/Shanghai hybrid?
  • It's a city with a split river through it. That's not that uncommon a design.
  • I'd just like to point out that a google search for "six geodudes can't lose" (without the quotes) puts this forum as the 4th result.
You post is now the top result!
  • New trailer for the games. It briefly shows off some new Pokemon (including a mole and a sarcophagus Pokemon) and some new features including 3-on-3 battles.
  • That grass type pokemon in that 3 vs 3 battle preview creeps me out.
  • Fetusmon looked kinda weird.

It's odd how having two Pokemon a side in battle looked kinda cool but now they've upped it to three, it just looks like Final Fantasy.
  • 3 on 3 battles could be fun, though I always thought they'd be messy. As for the new pokemon popping up, I don't really like them. Personally I prefer when the pokemon look like actual animals instead of weird mutated rock things. But from the start I've liked Zoroark and Pokabu lots, so I'm not complaining.
  • How are you going to avoid not killing your entire team with moves like Earthquake and Surf?
  • Are you attempting to use logic in a Pokemon thread?

With abilities like Levitate and moves like Protect.
  • It's a good thing Levitate's the most common ability, then. But how about this:

Team of six Geodudes that all know Protect and Explosion. Send out three Geodudes on the first turn, two use Protect, one uses Explosion. Send out a new Geodude to replace the one that exploded, repeat.
  • Three geodudes on each side.. can't loose.. but to who?

That's an awesome plan, but here's a problem. What if the other guy has protect? Also, even though there are three at the same time, everyone still has the same total number of pokemon. You can't win, but you can't lose.
  • You can't win, but you can't lose.
    Can't lose.
  • 3 vs. 3 sounds like too much.
  • 493 sounds like too much.
