Anybody want to have a Pokemon battle online tomorrow? I really want to test out my revamped team against someone other than the Elite Four.
I don't know if I have something completely solid team-wise yet, but I'm always up for a battle. You can use AIM or skype to contact me at judith.natalie or loltsundere, respectively.
I know that Black and White have not been out for very long, but I'm ready to start thinking about the future. I'm predicting that the inevitable remakes of Ruby and Sapphire are going to come out next, but will be for the 3DS. The graphics will be based off of the same engine as the PokeDex 3D and the series will finally be in polygons rather than pixels. Pokemon Gray will come out afterwards and will be based off of the new engine for Ruby and Sapphire. Thoughts?
The problem with the games coming out on the DS is that they wouldn't come out for at least another year. Unless the 3DS completely fails, they aren't coming out on the DS.

You're really optimistic about this, but I doubt that will be the case. Pokemon Gray is going to be the last big Nintendo published DS game. We won't get a normal Pokemon RPG for the 3DS for another few years. We'll probably wind up getting another Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, or maybe a Hey You Pikachu sort of thing with AR cards.
I would if I could. I say look on craigslist and buy a used DS lite for like $50 and spend a little more on a flash cart. Even the cheap as shit carts work just fine nowadays.
Nintendo is announcing a new Pokemon game on Sunday and of it's a main series game, it's either going to be remakes of Ruby and Sapphire or Pokemon Gray. I'm more inclined to believe that it's going to be the former and that they will be released on the 3DS with Gray version being released based off of the same engine.
I would love for it to be a new Pikemon Snap game for the 3DS that uses augmented reality, though.
Sounds to me like slight upgrades of Black and White for 3DS.
Nope, these are for the original DS.
It's funny, I was actually considering going out and buying White version (I bought black on release, but feel like playing through the new region again without scrapping my progress), but now I'll just wait and pick up "White 2" or whatever its final name will be.
I have to hand it to Nintendo, they actually managed to make Pokemon into more of a money-grab than it already was, by making the "third" game into another pair of versions. I want to hate them for it, but it's brilliant, in that it will totally work. At least in the short term, anyway; if they're too similar, it could burn them when Gen 6 comes out and people are more jaded, but maybe this will cause them to put a more substantial amount of effort into these, moreso than the palette swap and slight plot of previous "third" games.

Anyone got a spare DS they are willing to give away? ;D
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Victory Fire

I am so fucking confused right now.
They're coming out in Japan in June.

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but video game titles these days are the most ridiculous (see: anything Square-Enix puts out).
