  • 2) Anyone else unlock something called 2:00AM Music? My SSBB game locked up and when we turned the game back on we were rewarded with this CD.
I think I've unlocked that while playing random matches. Sometimes CDs come out of boxes that you blow up.
    3) After you complete the SSE you can go back in and clean everything up. Some areas have flags on them while others do not. Do the flags mean something? Some of the areas without flags are just boss battles, no side-scrolling.
I'm not positive, but I think the areas with flags means there is something new to do there. I haven't gone for 100% on SSE, but Wolf, Jigglypuff, and Toon Link are unlocked in flag areas.

    There it is:
Once you clear a stage, the map point will get a flag or a crown.

Both flags and crowns are proof that you’ve cleared a stage.

A flag means that you haven’t gotten all the things listed above for that stage. A crown means that the stage has been completely cleared.
  • For those who were offended by the review of SSBB I posted, here is a follow up to it that will calm down the controversy.

  • Three questions:

    1) I unlocked Stage Parts A & B yet I do not see any new parts in the stage builder. Am I doing something wrong here?

I think it's more like stage part; the conveyor belts are for Stage Parts B, but I dunno about the other ones since we haven't gotten them yet. I think there might be 2-3 in each set, but they're sort of minor.
  • Stage builder = big letdown.

    Then you're doing it wrong.

Stage builder is awesome. What sucks is that you can't play them online.

And, Sail, you're right. I just used Ness for the first time in SSBB. Far superior to Lucas.

  • I find the stage builder to be disappointing. I think it could have been far better, there just aren't enough options.

You haven't unlocked all the Stage Builder parts. There are quite a few, in actuality.

Are they hidden somewhere? I've unlocked parts A&B; and I do not see them.

God, I hate unlocking things in games.
  • Does anyone have a link or a screen shot showing these additional stage builder parts?

I unlocked all the characters and all the multiplayer stages. Anything else that is going to be unlocked will just have to come "naturally".

As soon as you import a copy.

    Hmmm
I'd have to get this as well:-
Wii FreeLoader now available, mod-less region-free gaming (or something like it).

You know, considering Australian prices with the current strength of the AUD compared to the USD, the cost probably wouldn't be too bad either. It's a lot of effort though.

EDIT: I guess effort is the wrong term, clicking isn't all that hard =P

Official site, people. This information is not that hard to find.
  • I will have to agree that the Stage Builder is a bit of a letdown, there just aren't enough parts or backgrounds. My biggest gripe, though, is that you cannot change the colour of any of the pieces. Besides those setbacks, I have made some kick-ass stages.

So springboards, conveyor belts and the ferris wheel are the only unlockable parts? I don't find the smashbros site to be very good (navigation-wise) I never know where to look to find things. Heck, I even have trouble finding stuff inside the game menus.

I'm looking for a definitive list (with images) of all unlockable parts. It would be much more obvious if, upon unlocking parts, you were shown a picture of the new parts rather than that green thing.

How do you manage to do that? To the left is a perfectly clear menu, color coded and symbolized even alongside words. And if you mean the pages talking about secret things. WELL DUH! Of course those are harder to get to (though barely), else they would no longer be secret.

I have come to the conclusion after spending the last few days playing almost nonstop (the only reason I stopped was because I had to either go to work or I passed out) that none of the characters are useless. I have used every character to some extent and all of them are quite the awesome. My personal favourites of the new characters are Toon Link (he is so much better than Young Link was), Pokemon Trainer, and Lucario (who is the penultimate bad ass when at high damage percentages).

The new stages are also amazing. I really like Luigi's Mansion, 75m, Green Hill Zone (if only for Sonic Boom), Spear Pillar, and Hanenbow (I hope I spelled that correctly).

Well since this is a brawl thread I thought to add the options fof several people who played the game for entertainment/different perspective on the game. The first one I thought it was funny however many of the crowd did not think so. I decided to rectify this by posting the most bizarre review I've seen, I mean who else do you know reviewed SSBB singing my fair lady and talking about monkey boobs? I could put this under things of the day, but felt the humor would be more appropriate here.

Besides you have to admit Amy Whinehouse in a red cap was funny.

    Trolling.
    Yep.

I agree, Li-Akahi, that no character is useless, just as I believed in the original. I used to think Ness was bad, but in the hands of a skilled player, it's a different story.

As for the new stuff, I'd have to go with Lucario (great moves with upside), Pit (aerial bonanza), and Ike (the human bomb) as my favorites. Haven't played the stages much, but Luigi's Mansion, Hanenbow, Pictochat and Warioware are pretty neat.
