Just finished today, a cozy for my DS lite, sorry for the crappy webcam pics, I'll upload some better shots when I get my hands on a good digital camera.

The green icing isn't quite as smooth as I would like it to be, but I know what I did wrong with that. The flowers are made of rolled fondant; the centers are buttercream.
I drew this while I was reinstalling Windows today. I started reading Invincible recently, after hearing enough decent stuff about it (including the episode), and it's not half bad. I don't usually read superheroes, or draw superheroes without getting paid for it, but what the hell. Drawn with pencil and brushpen, as opposed to my usual all-digital slackfest.
So I finally got around to actually finishing another cake, just in time for Mothers' Day.
Here's a detail of the boquet.
The top tier is an Italian cream cake. The bottom tier is carrot. I used rolled fondant for the outer covering and all the decorations, but there's cream cheese icing underneath.
This is my second attempt at a tiered cake. The first one was a couple years ago, before I actually knew anything about how they're put together. A little knowledge goes a long way.
Loved the dress, but in the blog it looks so tiny compared a normal person. What size is it? Also, the photos in the background and the extremely tight waist line on the doll radiate a gloomy atmosphere.
Ohhh, Updates! Nice work guys and keep it up. Jain7th: It makes me laugh. He's like a flasher bear! ladyobsolete: It's so lovely. I love the Blue/white striped pattern. In the photos in the back the dress seems longer or is there a skirt on that model too? Funfetus: Pretty funny. The guy with the scalpel reminds me of Beeker for some reason.
@Adelbert the dress is a bit in the background so it does look smaller in that picture than it actually is. I would say that the dress is a size 4. Unfortunately, I lost the battle for spot lights, so the lighting leaves something to be desired.
@Mankoon actually, the photos in the background are of the first version of the dress. I made the original for a final project. I decided to redo the skirt for the show. Eventually I'm going to embed lights in the skirt to project moire patterns out on the walls.
Jain7th: Love it. I keep scrolling back to it because it makes me smile.
ladyobsolete: The dress looks pretty neat, although I echo what Adelbert said about it looking really tiny.
Funfetus: Awesome as always.
Mankoon: I didn't mention it earlier, but tell me where you live. If I ever get the money to open a bakery I'll come out there and corner the market. ^_~
@Mrs. MacRoss: It's the same dress in that the top is unchanged. I undid the skirt part and resewed it in a different fashion between the photo shoot and the show. While each version I consider complete, I like experimenting and finding different looks.

I still have to knead the stuffing around
No cake this week. I made brownies instead.

A card I made for mother's day. It reads "a beautiful mother's day", the color's are a bit bland because of CMYK.

This one took me quite a while to finish.
Jain7th, I can't stop smiling.
Let's see, my department just finished our spring show, so I had a dress on display:

I guess this would be fanart, that I drew for another podcast.

@Funfetus I always love your posts.

The dress worn by the model appears to have a second layer of skirt. Is it a different dress than the one on the mannequin ?
My shoes. Damn that thing took me long to finish.
