When my Quilava first started following me around, I squeed from the sheer cuteness. Same with my Riolu and Flaafy.

Quilava (Vulcan), Flaafy (Jupiter), Riolu (Mars), and a Hoothoot (Minerva). I think I'm going to go the Staryu/Starmie route for a water Pokemon and I have no idea what to do for my last spot.

Also, it's really weird to look at the screen and see that I only have caught 5 Pokemon in the Johto dex. I'm used to it saying 492. ~_^
Wasn't there already a pokemon Gold/silver? In any case, I'm still working on diamond, which is the first pokemon game I've ever played outside of pokemon stadium and the card game.
Bought HeartGold because I think I must be one of the few people who likes Ho-oh more than Lugia.
As in you wanted the Ho-oh figurine? The birds aren't version exclusives in-game anymore, other gen legends are.
I like G+S because they are the only Pokemon versions to chronologically take place after R, B, + Y. The others happen concurrently.
Wrong. Pokemon (Fire)Red, Leafgreen/Blue and Yellow happen concurrently with Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. (Heart)Gold, (Soul)Silver and Crystal happen concurrently with Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, the latter of which start after the red Gyarados is spotted in GSC.

Source please. He was missing, and did not respond to the Rockets trying to start Team Rocket again, after all, he had disbanded it forever. He appears alive in HG/SS, whether you will take that as original canon or not is up to you.

He was promoted to the Elite Four. His daughter took over the gym.

They're not just called remakes because it sounds funny. Go play Leafgreen or Firered before HG/SS, and try to avoid spoilers for optimal effect.

Mostly, though, because despite the birds not being exclusive to either game anymore, they do still get associated with their respective games. Different appearances of wild Pokemon aside, as that really doesn't matter to me, the games are essentially identical, making superficial things such as favoured colour, game name, and box art/start-up screen mascot into deciding factors.

Sudowoodo is way underrated. Not that that has anything to do with the conversation, I just wanted to show some love to my favorite deceptive rock pokemon.
Make sure you have it up to date, I'm using 1.58 Beta. There'll probably be a cheat code put out to simulate the Pokewalker.

I used it today walking to a from class. I leveled up my Ghastly and caught a Venomnat as well as found some sweet loot (net ball). I also walked two miles.

That's awesome. I can't wait. I go walking during my breaks at work. We also have a Move/Walk program where we can walk for a mile or two and get paid. ^_^
I finally figured out YSMenu, took a frigging age and the author is disliking of making things easy, refusing to package in an easy to get to form his software. Atleast he makes it possible for me to get at some pokemon fun before everyone else in this Ho-oh forsaken land.
EDIT: Wow, pedometer cheats are already out, did not take long :P
