Remember that starting April 1st in the US and Europe, there is a WiFi event that will allow you to catch surfing or flying Pikachu using your Pokewalker.
Really hating the fact that my internet is WPA and not WEP. Stupid DS games not using WPA...

Ported over my 100s because I did not want to grind for 15+ levels to beat the elite four. They really should have looked at how the leveling is paced during the game. They should just get rid of it in gen V, but they won't because kids don't give a fuck about wasting time grinding pogeymans.
Fun fact: There is an easier alternative to grinding in Victory Road. With the Pokegear phone, you can call people for endless rematches, and they will always give you money! Some of them even give you items. If you do it enough times you could wind up with 99 Proteins or whatever. Here's the list.
I do agree that the second gen has leveling problems, but I'd say that's mostly because when you get to Ecruteak City you can go do all the Lake of Rage stuff before doing the Olivine and Cianwood stuff and vice-versa, so they had to keep the levels low for that.
I want to possibly incorporate an Elecvire and/or a Sneasel/Weaville into my party. Any suggestions as to which Pokemon to remove or whether I should change my current team?

Where are the bad guys in this one? I started with the Ruby and Sapphire games and I am noticing a serious lack of bad guys in this game's story.
It's just Team Rocket's usual sub-par shenanigans in this one, 'cuz it's a remake of the second gen games. The newer gens are the ones that have legitimate evil going down.
Does anyone live near the Nintendo or Pokemon Center stored? I am looking for a few of the plush dolls.
I do. What are you looking for?
Shaymin (both forms), Glaceon and Leafeon.
Last time I was there, they had Shaymin Sky forme. They'd been out of Land forme for a while, don't know if they'll restock it. Glaceon and Leafeon have never been stocked by the NYC location and I doubt that they ever will. You'd have to search ebay or ask a connection from Japan. I think that Japan's pokemon centers have also moved on from Leafy and Glacey.

R/S/E don't have bad guys, just zealous 'cultists' with a grand love for land/sea who make some bad descisions, D/P/Pt has a cult that wants to destroy the world, not bad, just ridiculously selfish. First and Second gen at least had Team Rocket who actually did shady shit for profit.
So I have a pokenub question about Vulpix evolving into Ninetales.
My Vulpix is currently level 33 and he already knows Fireblast from a TM. I recently acquired a firestone to have him evolve into Vulpix, but was confused about what would happen to the moves when it will evolve.
The highest move for Vulpix, that I need, is obtained at level 44. If I were to evolve him now at level 33, am I safe to assume that Ninetails won't be able to learn those moves?
I was looking at the Ninetail's move index and it all shows lover level moves at level 1.
From this information, I've concluded that I should level my Vulpix to level 44 then use the firestone to have it evolve into Ninetails, so I can have all the possible moves I would want Ninetails to have from Vulpix.
Am I the only one that calls his pokemon after sexual or genital euphemisms or slang? For example, my starter is the fire one, so I named him "FireBush" (sorry if its insulting to any redheads in the forum) etc.

I don't. I just name them silly things or after my cats.
Correct, and then you can go to a move re-learner to teach ninetales (not -tails, pokemon names do not make that much sense) nasty plot and destroy every steel type in the game. Pack flamethrower, extrasensory and dark pulse and you can hit 8 types for super effective damage (rest for normal)! Replace either of the latter two with a bred energy ball and you can cover your three weaknesses with ease, becoming quite a scary opponent.

D'oh! Ah well.
As for other nicknames, at PAX East an Enforcer named his pokemon Norovirus so everytime he interacted with other people's pokewalkers, it would say Norovirus and (whatever pokemon) went for a stroll. It was silly and amusing.
Also, thanks for the good info about Ninetales. I'm having some difficulties making a well-rounded team. I also realized I should have picked Chikorita or Cyndaquil as my starting Pokemon instead of Totodile since I'll be getting Lugia soon.

You should totally stick with Brotodile, add Squirtle, Mudkip, Relicanth, Wooper and Chinchou for awesome (and a strong hatred towards grass attacks). What? It's THE totally awesome water team, though Mantine is also awesome, and Octillery is awesome (and fries plants).

What's your current team and what do they do? And why would you want a well-rounded team? Kick reason to the curb, tread over the E4 with only WAILORDS.

Feraligatr: 49 Ampharos: 42 Furret: 40 (I mainly have him because he can learn so many HMs for my travelling ease, plus I named her Digit because she reminds me of my kitty =3) Dragonair: 30 Weepinbell: 35 Vulpix: 33 Noctowl: 30 (to be replaced by Dragonair, once I get her to evolve to Dragonite to teach Fly)
I just want a well-rounded team to be able to hand versatile situations. This is probably not the best make up for a team, I wouldn't mind trying to get a good psychic pokemon in the mix as well, but I need to do more research on the pokemans.

For the single-player you don't really need a well-rounded team, ever, unless you want an easy game. Also, you only have 5 pokemon on your team then. Not counting the HM-slave and the Noctowl that gets replaced, though, you really gonna teach a Dragonite fly?

And Axel, why don't you just turn off your WiFi protection, grab the course, then turn it back on again?

Am I right about this conclusion?
I recently named Polliwhirl, JoeyJoJo.
EDIT: I (should) nickname all pokemon 'bitch'.
